Audio Implementation

The work on this page has been selected to showcase my skills & abilities with game audio implementation. The goal here is to demonstrate, not only technical proficiency with game engines and middleware, but my creative use of these tools to make dynamic systems that enhance the player experience.

Moai Mayhem  - Unity Built in Audio

Below you will find details about the implementation process for the sound of Mai Mayhem (a student project). This is an educational game primarily targeted at elementary age children about the Island of Rapa Nui or Easter Island as it's often called and their famous Moai Statues. I utilized unity's built in audio system for all of the implementation. You can play Moai Mayhem for yourself on Itch.io by clicking the button below

Unreal Engine - Blueprints & MetaSounds

Below you will find screenshots from a proof of concept project using Unreal Engine's MetaSounds. The project has the player collect 5 items, where the middle three items can be picked up in any order the player wishes. When these items are picked up context sensitive dialogue will play depending on what items have been collected so far. Additionally, an adaptive music system has the background music progress and grow more full as the player picks up each item.
